Their Story


Noa is a jewellery startup based out of Hyderabad that specializes in diamond studdings over any kind of jewellery. Its designs are meant for a niche audience who loves art and wishes to reflect their style and personality through jewellery. Its vision is to build a tribe where people share experiences by expressing themselves with jewellery. All its creations are the perfect embodiment of quality, luxury, and style.


Their Goal


As a startup, Noa wanted to create a distinct and eccentric brand identity. To make a mark in the Indian market, they wanted to change their brand name (formerly Solnero) to something that would click with the audience. In order to achieve that, the whole brand image had to change which compromised brand name, logo design, brand narrative, brand personality, and the visual & verbal tone of the business. Behind the new positioning, was the idea of belongingness and how the brand would help to reflect personality and individuality.

Challenges


Making a brand guidelines report for Noa came with several challenges as the client was a bit confused about the overall image and theme of the brand. This delayed the process as it affected our understanding of the messaging and designing that were required for the brand.

Our first challenge was to comprehend the brand image so as to figure out the other essential elements of the brand such as logo, mission, tone, voice, etc.The second challenge was regarding the brand name “Solnero” being difficult to pronounce and hence creating a negative image.



Solutions


We first decided to deal with the issue regarding the brand name of the company as it would be the basis for the brand guidelines report. After understanding the client’s requirements, we brainstormed and provided a list of worthy names out of which Noa was chosen.

Once the name was decided, we proceeded with the mission, vision and purpose statements of the brand as the logo revolves around those elements as well and not just the brand name. After creating relevant brand positioning statements as per the TG and understanding the purpose of this brand by the client, we designed the logo options and a selection was made from that, finalizing the brand theme colours and the logo together.

The next step was to create the brand’s visual tone which comprised off logo positioning, logo colour schemes, typeface, web design layout, iconography for the website and the styles of photography. Then the brand’s verbal tone – modern, friendly, and playful was set. This led to the completion of the brand guideline report after which the design for the jewellery boxes began. The packaging design was inspired by the millennials and was designed to be something fun and not just a regular jewellery box. The whole idea was to make it fun and out of the box when compared to other jewellery brands.



Results



In a period of two weeks, we were able to create a premium brand image of Agraraj Tea by designing its brand logo and product label. Our branding reflected the company and its product as “one of a kind” in the marketplace. We had a lot of fun working on this project as the focus was more on colors, patterns, imagery, etc. On the whole, we helped the client to achieve the following:
